I think both check in and check out processes could be improved - so it is less of a chore and more of a holiday. It took nearly 15 minutes to do and I wasn't sure why. The check in process seemed quite stressful too. Then when you leave you have to do a full clean and have an inspection, plus you are expected to take your used sheets and towels down to reception. The reason why I did not give the apartments 4 stars is that they expect you to do an inventory of everything in the kitchen when you arrive, number of plates, knives and forks, saucepans etc when you arrive and also write a report on the state of walls, furniture, bathroom etc. If you are not bringing sheets and towels, don't forget to hire them in advance. You can also reserve a car parking space if you need one. There is a restaurant beside the residence, Tom Rider, and also a place to hire your ski wear, Go Montagne. Fortunately our February half term was the same as the french one so pool was open and navettes were in operation. This is only open during the school holidays as are the navettes, shuttle buses which go between the resorts at 16. The outside pool is a welcome addition and heated to 30C. It is quieter than the appartments at 1600. Dame Blanche is perfectly situated at 1800m you can ski straight out onto the piste. It is well furnished and has everything you need but you will need to bring or buy toilet paper, a tea towel, dishwasher tablets, clothes for cleaning as none of this is provided. The hotel is ideally located just in front of the ski lifts of station 1400 and ski rental shop. A buffet breakfast is available each morning and includes fresh bread, eggs, cereals, cheese and jam. Apart from the living room guests can also enjoy the bar, sunny terrace, outdoor swimming pool (only during summer), sauna and hot tub. In the completely new renovated living room with cosy corners, fireplace, reading and game table and splendid view, breakfast and diner are served. Mountainhotel Saint Roch, located at the ski slopes of Puy Saint Vincent 1400, offers a laid back atmosphere in a beautiful surrounding. I highly recommend Hotel Aigliere and we would definitely stay again! ![]() But I think most people come to ski and to enjoy the surrounding nature and to disconnect for a few days. The Wi-Fi doesn't extend to the bedrooms so if you are someone who needs to work online in your room and you have data from your mobile phone, then you will be just fine. You have use of free WiFi in the hotel bar. The hotel has several communal areas with a living room type set up and next to the spa is a games' room with a ping pong table. ![]() My boyfriend and I were greeted every day with very warm smiles from the staff and we had pleasant conversations with the ladies in reception as well as the chef. Hotel Aigliere is a family friendly and family run establishment. The food was very delicious and fresh with fair prices. On our second night we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The spa facilities for €10/person for an hour were lovely and clean. We were offered a buffet breakfast with fresh bread, pastries and fruit and unlimited juices and hot drinks. There was always hot water at all times of the day. Our ensuite room was very warm and cosy with a good sized balcony with comfortable chairs to sit and enjoy the tranquility and lovely view of the mountains. The room at La Petite Varenne has a seating area, a desk, a fan and an independent access.My boyfriend and I stayed two night at Hotel Aigliere for a skiing mountains.
